Botanical Name:Citrus aurantium, syn. Citrus vulgaris
Origin: Haiti
Also known as Curaçao, Seville, Bigarade, and Sour orange peel. Large slices (1/4 pieces of outer orange) of peel cut while still green. Belgian Witbier (white beer) is made from wheat which is spiced with the peel of bitter orange. Bitter orange is used as an ingredient in bitters and in the Nordic mulled wine Glögg.
